Chur, the location is sweet as, right in the centre of Carlingford! But the stairs were a bit tough for my mother-in-law, eh? Still, comfy beds made up for it.

The location is excellent, right in the vibrant heart of Carlingford. I enjoyed the delightful atmosphere in the restaurant. the food tasted amazing and had plenty of options to choose from. Our room was spacious and immaculate, with a powerful shower that felt refreshing. staying over the weekend meant dealing with noise from late-night celebrations, which impacted my sleep. while most staff were accommodating, one interaction felt a bit lacking in enthusiasm. it’s a charming place with wonderful dining but could improve on soundproofing for a better night's rest.

We had an awesome time! The pub and restaurant vibe was super chill, and we loved hanging out there after long days hiking the Táin Way to Ravensdale. The staff were always smiling and ready to help, and the food was hearty and filling. If you're into outdoor adventures, this place is perfect. It’s just a stone's throw from local shops for some quick browsing!
Only complaint was the shower in our room. it would randomly go from warm to super hot, which made for a rather surprising experience! Just a heads up for those sensitive to temperature changes.

The seafood chowder here was outstanding, packed with fish, shrimp, and mussels, served in a rich broth that stole the show. The pub atmosphere is lively, making it a great spot for grabbing meals after exploring the neighboring area.
Rooms feel outdated and a bit run down, and there are damp spots near the radiators that need addressing. Parking is limited outside, and the shower flow is unreliable—a poor experience when you want a refreshing rinse. If you end up in a room near the smoking area, expect high noise levels, especially on weekends. Our bathroom door didn't latch properly, which is a bit quirky, but not ideal.
